Annual Membership Day scheduled for Jan. 24

The Society for Kona’s Education and Arts annual Membership Day and Gallery Show are scheduled for 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24.

This free event will include live music, pupus, a silent auction and an art exhibit and sale by the South Kona Artists’ Collective. The art show continues noon-5 p.m. Sunday.

Enroll now for equipment personnel training sessions

The University of Hawaii at Hilo’s College of Continuing Education and Community Service is accepting enrollment for Understanding Hydraulics and Schematic Troubleshooting. Classes are slated for 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Feb. 4-5 in the Maluhia Place Conference Room, 891 Ululani St., in Hilo.

The cost for the training is $595 and includes text book and certificate of completion.

This course was created specifically for maintenance personnel working in industrial plants, public facilities and with agricultural and construction equipment.
